Kewpie doll with hurt arm and real dirty. Loved the add-on dress. There’s something about porcelain bisque firing, color and surface sheen that makes these so appealing.

After cleaning, flattening, mending, relining and deacidification this marriage certificate is homeward bound.
The rip has been repaired on the back with raw linen and then the front fissure was filled with a special putty and in-painted.
Here’s a fun challenge, I’ll post the after restoration shot soon!
A slipcase for The Devil and Daniel Webster has been worn out. Had to remove the rotted edge board and lift the paper in order to replace with a strong mulberry paper and layer with original paper. In the second image you see the slipcase right after the watercolor has been applied.
